Kissire was the second wife of: Merriman Cape, they were married: February 28, 1861, Forsyth County, Georgia. In the Forsyth County, Georgia Marriages, Book "C" 1853--1868, she is listed as: Kessiah Mullens, married February 27, 1862. In just about every census her name is spelled different. Her place of birth was given as either Georgia or South Carolina. She had two children: John M. Cape (1863--1889), and Jasper Juan Cape (1869--1955). She died at the home of her son, Jasper in 1908. Her parents were: William Mullinax (1795--1860) and Harriet Vaughan Mullinax (1802--1860). She may be buried beside her husband in Belton, her headstone is missing, the Church has no record of her burial. I only have two newspaper clippings saying she was taken there along with the funeral home saying the same thing.
