John Stanley Bee, 84 of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of Vienna, died April 7, 2003, in Lexington. He was born April 28, 1918, in Pennsboro, a son of the late Benjamin W. and Helen E. Thomas Bee. He was a graduate of Pennsboro High School, a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and was a mail carrier for more than 25 years in Vienna. Mr. Bee and his wife Gladys moved to Lexington in 1997 to be close to their children. Prior to moving they had attended the Wesley United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Pennsboro Masonic Lodge.
John is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gladys Elder Bee; three children, John R. Bee, Helen Hanlon, both of Lexington, and Benjamin Bee of Tampa, Fla.; eitht grandchildren 10 great grandchildren; one sister, Frances Kramer of Parkersburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters; Donna, Russell, Sue, Ben, George and Doris.
