Jean Wargo, 90, of Mahanoy City, died Thursday morning at the home she shared with her daughter, Jeanmarie and her husband, Michael Flaim, Schuylkill Haven.
Born in Shenandoah, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Arlukowicz.
She attended J.W. Cooper High School and was a homemaker.
Jean was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew "Sock" Wargo; son, Andrew "Buzzie" Wargo; brother, Anthony Arlukowicz.
Surviving, in addition to her daughter, Jeanmarie, are a son, David and his wife, Karen, Douglasville; two sisters, Estelle Salvadore, Shenandoah, and Helene Seroka, Ringtown; grandchildren, Angela, Amanda and Matthew Wargo, Allison Wise and Dominic Flaim; daughter-in-law, Susie Wargo; nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday to be celebrated by the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church, Mahanoy City. Interment will follow in Assumption BVM Cemetery, Mahanoy Township. Friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. at the church. Contributions in her name to Covenant Home Care Hospice would be appreciated by the family and will be accepted at the visitation. David D.
