The fourth son of Edward Majoribanks
Of Lees, Berwickshire
He was born at Lees, the 31st day of May 1776
And after a long life
Of usefulness and kindly actions
Died at Greenlands on 17th September 1868
Greatly beloved and respected

Dust to its marrow house beneath
Soul to its place on high
They that have seen thy look in death
No more may fear to die
