Memorial services for Charles Bridges Ballowe, 89, of Longview, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2008, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, with the Reverend Mark Horner officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home. His remains will be interred in Oakwood Memorial Park in Jefferson at a later date.

Mr. Ballowe was born August 31, 1917, in Palestine, to Leigh and Mary Ballowe. He was a retired land man from Texaco and was a graduate of Texas A&M University. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of the Episcopal Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Walker Ballowe.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Walker Ballowe of Longview; children, Bridges Ballowe and Jane Dunham of Dallas; grandchildren, Bryan, Brooke, Jenifer, Will and Collin; and two great-grandchildren.
