Graveside services for Mr. Garry Baird, 61, of Jefferson, Texas will be held Saturday May 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Jefferson, Texas with Rev. Darwin Roraback officiating under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday May 25, 2012 from 6-8 in the evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Baird was born June 7, 1950 in Clarksville, Texas, to Enos and June Carson Baird. He loved fishing, being outdoors and spending time with friends and family. Mr. Baird was a Baptist. Mr. Baird served in the Army and worked for over 35 years for U.S. Steel, formerly Lone Star Steel. He passed away May 23, 2012 in Longview, Texas.

Surviving relatives include his daughter Christi Sterrett and husband P.J. of South Carolina; brothers, Edward Baird and wife Vaughn of Jefferson, Bill Baird and wife Janice of Pensacola, Florida and sister, Donna Steele of Jefferson, Texas. Grandchildren, Trinity and Colby Sterrett and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Curt Ethridge, Billy Don Carson, Doyle Carson, Jimmie Edward Carson, Vance Satterwhite & Jody LaHay.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association; 7272 Greenville Ave. Dallas, Texas 75231.
