Peggy Goins Blair, 73, of Galax, died Sunday July 11, 2010.
 She was born Sept. 6, 1936, to the late Jake Goins and the late Gretchen Tucker Goins Gwyn of Galax.
 She was the widow of Haywood Harold Grey Blair Sr., of Galax.


Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Haywood of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Jermaine (Ginny) Charlotte, N.C.; her daughters and sons-in-law, Judy Williams of Galax, Jacqueline (James) Bryan of Sparta, N.C., Janet (Harry) Grubb of Max Meadows, Jessica (Sidney) Beamer of Charlotte, N.C., Jewell (Junius) Moyler of Chesapeake, Janell (Jeff) Hash of Roanoke, Justina (David )Reid of Greensboro, N.C.; 22 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; four brothers, James Gwyn of Independence, Douglas and Charity Gwyn of Sparta, N.C., Thomas and Christine Gwyn of Kenosha, Wis., Dennis and Joann Gwyn of Roanoke and Dean Gwyn of Galax; a sister and brother-in-law, Lelia and William Nelson of Alexandria; and a host of nieces and nephews.


A funeral will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, Galax, with burial to follow in the Oldtown Cemetery.
