Mrs. Laura Willie Bell Brown, 57, who resided on
»Robinson St., Galax, passed away at her home Wednesday, November 15, 1961.

She was the widow of the late Jim Brown.

Mrs. Brown had been in declining health for some time, although death was unexpeetcd.
She was the daughter of the late Nathan Brown and wife, Mrs. Alice Brown.

Surviving are three sons, Walker Brown, of Roanoke, Wayman Brown, of Ohio, and Clarence Brown, Galax one, daughter, Mrs. Esther Gwyn,
New York four brothers, Tom Brown and Jim Brown,
both of Orvina, Va., Roby Brown, of Ohio, and Nando Brown of Galax, four sisters, Mrs. Esther Crockett, Galax Mrs. Elona Snow, of Ohio, Mrs. Ada Gwyn, of Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Nina King,
Richmond, and 18 grandchil­dren.

Funeral services were held at Mt. Zion Holiness Church Sunday at 11 a.m. The Rev.J. B. Beamer and the Rev. John Allen conducted the services. Burial was in the Oldtown Cemetery. The body remained at Vaughn Guynn Funeral Home until time to be taken to, the church one hour be fore the services.
