GILMER - Services for James E. "Whipperwill" Andrews, 84, of Ore City, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2009, at St. Paul Baptist Church, in Ore City, with the Rev. Johnny Q. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are by Turner Bros. Mortuary. Mr. Andrews died February 6, 2009, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Born March 12, 1924, in Karnack, he was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Verbina Jones Andrews; sons, Zachery Andrews, David Andrews and Xavier Andrews; daughters, Avery Andrews; brother, Albert Andrews; and sisters, Mae Etta Johnson. Gertrude Rutlind, Princie Morgan and Earley Faye Coleman.
