Mrs. Barnett was born July 6, 1936 in Summer Town, Tenn. She was a member of the Assembly of God in Doniphan and had been employed as a nurse. She enjoyed taking care of her grand kids and crocheting.
On July 10, 1954, she married Belton Barnett in Charleston. He preceded her in death on January 2, 1995.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby Barnett, Bill Barnett and Jim Barnett, all of Doniphan; one daughter, Betty Sanders of Doniphan; three sisters, Carolyn Hayman, Jane Runions and Linda Devore, all of Hohenwald, Tenn.; three brothers, Tom Curtis, Bruce Curtis and Joe Curtis, all of Hohenwald, Tenn., Donny Curtis of Memphis, Tenn.; and nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation and the funeral were held at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service, officiated by Bro. Harold Tackett was held May 12 in the funeral home chapel. Burial was at Pope Chapel Cemetery in Currentview
