Born and raised in South Boston, Mass., Eleanore was a graduate of Boston University.
Following her marriage in 1945 to the late William H. Abraham, Eleanore devoted her life to raising their seven children.
Together they lived in Stoneham and Braintree, Mass., Mexico City, Mexico, Amherst, N.Y., East Charlotte, and Williston, Vt.
Following the death of her husband, she resided at The Lodge and The Shores at Shelburne Bay in Shelburne, Vt.
She was predeceased by her parents, James A. and Cecilia Healy; sister, Cecile; brother, James; and daughter, Ellen Chave.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 24th 2014, at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Shelburne.
Burial will follow at the Columbarium in Resurrection Park Cemetery in South Burlington, Vt.
Arrangements are in the care of the Ready Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Burlington, Vt.
