David W. Abare, 50, passed away at his home Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, after a battle with cancer. David is survived by his parents, Roger and Marion Abare of South Burlington; his two sisters, Deborah Ruppel and her husband, Jay, of South Burlington, and Doreen Allison and her husband, Peter, of South Burlington; and his two nieces and two nephews, Liane Zivitski of Maryland, Michael Ruppel of South Burlington, Sarah Zivitski of Maryland and Patrick Ruppel of South Burlington. Funeral services will be held in St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church in South Burlington on Monday, Aug. 25, at 11 am. Interment will follow in Resurrection Park Cemetery at the Abare family lot. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at 800-2272345 or 11 Loomis St. Montpelier, Vt. 05602. Arrangements are in the care of the Ready Funeral Home South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Road, Burlington.
