The son of Eutimia Lucero and José Jeronimo Aragón, Manuel was born in Cuba, NM on October 25, 1914.
Manuel is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Ida Aragón, two daughers, Sandra Pino and her husband, Carlos of Bernalillo, NM and Kiki Munera and her husband, Eddie of Albuquerque, three sons, Roanie Aragón and his wife, Theresa and Arbie Aragón, all of Albuquerque and Robert "Skip" Aragón and his wife, Katerina of Rio Rancho, NM, two sisters, Casimira Hammond of Albuquerque and Lucy Salazar of Stockton, CA, a special aunt, Tia Carlota Chávez of Albuquerque, sister-in-law, Ethel López and her husband, Abel, brother-in-law, Ben Miller and his wife, Evangline, 18 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Manuel was preceded in death by two sisters, Donaciona Aragón Nieto and Antonia Sánchez and by a brother, José Aragón.
Manuel was a former Lions Club member, a charter member of the Bernalillo Rotary Club for 30 years, where he served as President and initiated and managed the Flag Program. Manuel worked for New Mexico Timber and López Lumber Company prior to opening his own lumber and hardware business, A & L Lumber Company in Bernalillo. Prior to retirement, he worked for TaGrMo Lumber and Hardware. Manuel began his lumber career with New Mexico Timber in Porter, NM in 1929.
Manuel was affectionately known as "Bosh" to his grandchildren, Mark Aragón, Gena, Gino, Manuelita and Nicole Velarde, Dorothy and Deila Mártinez, Denise Ortiz, Allen Pino, Carla Hubbard, Kevin Pino, Lisa Aragón, Vince Aragón, Tiffany Munera, Erik Munera, Amber Aragón, Les Aragón and Todd Palmer and great-grandchildren, Jamele, Nathan, Kristal, Brittany, Cyndi, Steven, Elliot, Evan and Cory.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. today at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM, followed by Interment at the Bernalillo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Mark Aragón, Allen Pino, Kevin Pino, Vince Aragón, Erik Munera and Les Aragón. Honorary pallbeaers will be all other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
