AUSTINTOWN — Jane Bartlett, 86, formerly of 2691 Ridge Road, Warren, died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2008, in Austin Woods Care Center, Austintown.

Mrs. Bartlett was born Feb. 28, 1922 in Niles, the daughter of William Howard and Minta Irene Hutchinson Mullen.

She was a lifetime resident of the area and graduating from Niles McKinley High School in the Class of 1940.

She had been employed by the former Ohio Leather Works in Girard, and later by Howland Local Schools and the Golden Stallion Restaurant as a cook.

She will be remembered by her family as a gracious homemaker and for the delicious cookies she baked.

Survivors include her loving family, a daughter, Beth Bartlett and her husband, Jack Zubal of Austintown; a son, Jim of Middlefield; three sisters, Marion Augusta and Martha Pitts, both of Niles, and Renee Salerno of Niceville, Fla.; four grandchildren, Danielle Hilton, Chad Zubal, Scott Bartlett-Royse, and Sister Erin Zubal, OSU; a great-granddaughter, Harley Royse; and several nieces and nephews who respected her dearly and whom she adored with all her heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Seth W. Bartlett; a son, Ed; two sisters, Annette Lawrence and Virginia Darrell; and two brothers, Paul Mullen and infant Russell Mullen.

Private memorial services will be held in May at the chapel of Kerr Cemetery, where burial will follow. Arrangements and care have been entrusted to the Robert P. McDermott Memorial Home, 614 Warren Ave., Niles.
