Betty was born Aug. 21, 1914, in Freedom, Pa., the daughter of John and Gertrude Richardson Hoskins.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Canfield Presbyterian Church and the Salem golf club.
Her husband, G. Harry Barker, whom she married March 10, 1941, died March 3, 1993.
She is survived by two daughters, Virginia (Leland) Knauf of Ellsworth and Jane Ann Barker of Dover, N.H.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jack Swift; two sisters, Doris Meere and Jayne Hoskins; and a brother, John Hoskins.
