Frances Baker, of Iselin, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2009, at the Haven Hospice at the JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 88. Born in North Arlington, she lived in Newark before moving to Iselin in 1949. She was a homemaker. She was a parishioner of St. Cecelia's R.C. Church in Iselin. She was also a member of the Iselin Democratic Club and the North Kennedy Park Civic Association. She was an avid gardener and loved to cook.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph W. Baker in 1996. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Geraldine Baker of Iselin; daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Patrick Donoghue of Waretown, NJ; brother, William Palevo of Oscala, Fla.; and four grandsons, Patrick Donoghue Jr., Jeremy Baker, Michael Donoghue and his wife, Charna, and Jason Baker.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 2 at 9 a.m. at the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Rd., Edison, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Cecelia's R.C. Church, Iselin. Entombment to follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge.
