YORK Lewis B. Adams, 60, of Country Meadows at Leader Heights, died of natural causes, Tuesday October 16, 2007, at York Hos pital. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, with the Rev. Edward Robbins, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, Glen Rock, officiating. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

Mr. Adams was born on May 21, 1947, in York, a son of the late Charles A. "Sam" and Bernice I. (Klinedinst) Adams. He had been a co-owner and shareholder of Springfield Contractors, Inc., Glen Rock, where he was the secretary/treasurer of the corporation for many years. Prior to that he worked for the former Gerl Construction Co. He was a former member of the Glen Rock Jaycees and was an avid tennis player, playing at several local clubs. He enjoyed watching all types of sports and loved being with his family and friends at summer picnics and holiday gatherings, where he loved playing Santa Claus for his many nieces, nephews and other family members. He was formerly of Glen Rock and Seven Valleys, residing at Country Meadows for the past three years.

Lewis leaves two sisters, Mary J. Smith of York, and Linda L. Heffner of Stewartstown; and a brother, James F. Adams of York. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles A. "Sonny" Adams Jr. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 N.
