PLYMOUTH

The death of Robert R. Allen occurred Sunday morning at 8 o'clock at the home of his sister, Mrs. Resse Bevan, on Orchard street, after a long illness of pneumonia. Deceased was born at Abedar, South Wales, May 13, 1856, and came to this country when a small box. He was a son of the late William R. and Ruth Allen (deceased) old residents of this town. He has resided in this place for thirty-three years. Deceased had made his home with his sister, Mrs. Bevan, where he was nursed tenderly through his long illness by his sisters and a cousin who came from Pittsburg to assist in caring for him. He had been received into the folds of the Welsh Baptist Church during his illness and when the end came he was fully prepared. Four sisters and a brother survive him - Mrs. Rees Bevan, Mrs. John D. Stephens, Mrs. James O'Boyle and Mrs. John Evans and John Allen. The funeral will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock with services at the house conducted by Rev. R. Davis, pastor of Welsh Baptist Church. Interment will be made in the Shawnee cemetery.
