Larksville Resident Thrown Through Windshield in Scott Street Mishap
Wheeler Blair Armstrong, Jr., 25, of 76 Walnut street, Plymouth, died at 10:55 last night in Nanticoke hospital, death being caused by a fracture of the skull. While at work as a lineman at Alden for Sordoni Construction Co., Armstrong was struck by a pole. He was admitted to the hospital at 10 yesterday.
He is survived by his widow, one child; his mother, Lucretia Armstrong; one brother, David E., at home; three sisters, Mrs. Irene Gerdock, Mrs. Bruce Moss and Mrs. Lucretia Kinney, all of Plymouth.
Thrown through windshield of an automobile, Mrs. Eleanor Cross, 28, of 69 Keller street, Larksville, suffered face and head lacerations last night. She was treated in General hospital. Monson Cross, husband of the woman, was operating the automobile on Scott street near Delaware & Hudson roundhouse. The tires caught in the street car tracks and as Mr. Cross attempted to get free the steering wheel cracked. The automobile swerved across the street and hit a telegraph pole.
