Bertha Orr Davis, age 100, of Robbinsville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006 at Britthaven of Graham.
She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late John and Amanda Carringer Orr. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Davis in 1977; her sons, Richard Davis and Mitchell Davis; her infant daughter; and her sisters, Julie Carver, Leliar Massey and Grace Phillips.
She is survived by her sons and their wives, O.V. and Eva Davis of Greenwood, S.C., Jimmy and Judy Davis of Robbinsville; daughters and their husbands, Marie and Wayne Carver of Robbinsville, Janice and Blaine Stewart of Robbinsville, Thelma and Kelly Morgan of Easley, S.C.; and her sister whom she raised as a daughter, Rhuie Belle Davis of Washington, Ga.; 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Dec. 19 at the Townson-Smith chapel with Rev. Mickey Stewart and Jimmy Millsaps officiating. Committal services were held on Dec. 20 at the Massey Cemetery.
