Shane Bowman, age 44 of Robbinsville, passed away, Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Murphy Medical Center. He was the son of Albert Jackson Bowman and Barbara Thomasson Bowman, and the grandson of the late Claude and Nora Bowman and Ervin and Lola Thomasson. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Shelly Massey Bowman; sons, Jordan Kade Bowman, Jackson Reed Bowman, Joshua Pace Bowman all of Robbinsville, NC; brother, Kevin Bowman and his wife, Becky of Bryson City, NC; and nephews, Tyler Shane Bowman, Brody Seth Bowman, and Trey McKinley Bowman all of Bryson City, NC Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 pm Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Townson-Smith Chapel. The Reverends Tommy Hooper, Darrin Self, and Dana Dockery will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 till 7:00 pm Saturday at the Chapel prior to the service. Committal Services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, September 16, 2012 at the Massey Cemetery. At all other times the family will be receiving friends at the residence of Gene and Rena Williams on Atoah Road in Robbinsville, NC.
