STUMPY POINT - E. [Elmer] Dean Best, 72, died Sunday, September 24 in an Elizabeth City hospital.
Mr. Best, a native of Stumpy Point, was a retired fashion designer and was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church.
He was the son of the late Guy and Thelma Hooper Best.
Mr. Best is survived by a son, Marlow Cliff Best of Michigan; a brother, Roger V. Best of Stumpy Point; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo is handling arrangements.
