George Taylor Agee was born near Etterville, Mo., April 28, 1886; there he resided until near eighteen years of age. He studied Telegraphy at Central Business College at Sedalia, MO., and completed his course at Denver, Colo. He secured a position with the U.P.R.R. Co., in whose employ he continued until the 10th of May 1917.
He enlisted as a private in the Signal Corps and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant before leaving the United States. He was in Company C, First Field Battalion, Signal Corps, of the U.S. Army. He arrived in France about the first of January and had been in active service since early in the spring.
George Taylor Agee was killed in action July 18, 1918. He was a member of the Eaton Lodge No. 109 A.F. Y A.M., Eaton, Colo., of the Pierce Colorado Lodge No. 176 I.O.O.F. and the Order of Railroad Telegraphers.
He is survived by a father, James H. Agee, of Etterville, Mo., and six brothers, Thomas J. and J. Warren of Etterville; Robert L. of Kansas City; Frank of Windsor; Willard of Craig, Colo. and Edison of Powell Butte, Oregon; and two sisters, Mrs. E.E. Norfleet of Eugene and Ilene of Kansas City.
