Russian scriptwriter. In 1953 he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Law. As scriptwriter, he made his debut in 1955 film "In the square 45". Since the mid 1960's he worked in creative collaboration with Eldar Ryazanov. Their first collaborative work was published on the screens of the country in 1966, the comic strip "Beware of the Car" which won a huge audience success. Followed "Zigzag of Luck" and "old men-robbers", "Unbelievable Adventures of Italians in Russia" and "Irony of Fate", "Office Romance" and "Garage" However, the well-known screenwriter participated in the creation and other films, "Teacher of singing" Naum Birman, "Vanity of vanities" Alla Surikova, "want to tell you" Basil Picula, "Stage of Gribov Leonid Kvinikhidze.
