Racehorse. Princequillo was bred in France and foaled in Ireland. He was sent to the United States in July of 1942 to escape the War in Europe.

Although Princequillo won important races, and is considered to be the best long-distance runner in American Thoroughbred racing history, he is best remembered as an important sire. After his racing days were over, Princequillo was purchased by Arthur B. Hancock and sent to his Ellerslie Stud in Virginia and later to his Claiborne Farm near Paris, Kentucky.

Princequillo was twice the Champion sire in North American and seven times the Champion Broodmare sire.

Princequillo died of a heart attack in 1964.
