Ruth Coughlin Bakey, 89, of Plainview, N.Y., formerly of Raven Run, West Mahanoy Township, passed away Aug. 29 in Plainview.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Thomas Bakey; three brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are two daughters, Joan Holland, Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Barbra, wife of Thomas Conway, Oxnard, Calif.; two sons, Ray Bakey and his wife Lisa, Gulf Shores, Ala., and John Bakey, Plainview, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Saturday in Annunciation BVM Church, Shenandoah. Monsignor Bernard Flanagan, pastor, will officiate. Committal services will be held in Annunciation BVM Chapel, Shenandoah Heights, with interment to follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at Annunciation Church from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday. There will be no viewing or services from the funeral home. Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah, is in charge of arrangements.
