Emily Grace (Sirrine) Allen, 100, of Midland, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, May 12, 2006 with her family at her side. She was truly a woman of God and was loved by all who knew her. She was the strength and heart of her family and will be greatly missed. Emily was born on August 13, 1905 to the late Thomas and Susie (Martineau) Sirrine. She was one of five children with a sister (Living) Mashue surviving. Emily was born, raised and still resided on her family's centennial farm in Homer Township. She was a life-long member of Homer United Methodist Church where she was active in the women's society. Emily crocheted many lap afghans to donate to missions. She still enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens.

Emily married Edward R. Allen on May 21, 1924. He passed away July 22, 1976.

Funeral services will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2006 at Homer United Methodist Church with Pastor Raymond Jacques officiating. Interment will follow in Homer Township Cemetery. Friends may call at Wilson Miller Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
