Liddie J. (LaVier) Albee, 86, of Midland, died Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at Brittany Manor.

God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so He put his arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me". With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

Liddie was born on April 8, 1921, to the late Herbert and Catherine (Millhisler) LaVier in Midland, where she was raised and educated. She married Robert R. Albee on Dec. 2, 1943, in Midland; he predeceased her on March 28, 2003. Since 1955 Liddie had been a member of First Baptist Church. She was an avid crafter, making angels.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Alex LaVier; and her sisters, Luella Kilbourn, Gertrude Davidson and Donna Kenyon .

Funeral services for Liddie will be conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, June 16, 2007, from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. The Rev. John P. Dick and the Rev. David M. Brown, of the First Baptist Church will co officiate. Interment will follow in Homer Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home today from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be offered to Heartland Hospice.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff of Walsh Hall at Brittany Manor and to Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care.
