Dorothy was the daughter of John and Ida May (Crowell) Longanbach. She married Harvey B. Acker on February 28, 1931 in St. Louis, Michigan. He predeceased her on July 7, 1994. Dorothy was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, where she had been active in the woman's circle. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, and weaving. She also loved to play cards and bingo.
