MARION - Walter Hagood Altman, 32, died this morning at a local hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday from the Marion Church of God, by the Rev. J. B. Cole, pastor. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Altman was born in Marion County, August 10, 1923. He had been employed with American Wood Products Co.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lina Lambert Altman; one son, Walter Altman of the home; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Jones of Mullins, Mrs. Lila Jones of Moncks Corner, Mrs. Geneva Strickland and Mrs. Sarah Widner, both of Augusta, Ga.; and four brothers, Charlie Altman of Florence, Herbert Altman of Loris, Houston Altman of Mullins and Davis Altman of Rock Hill.
