CHARLESTON - Mrs. Bernice Edwards Alford of Charleston, wife of Preston Beans Alford, died Thursday in Marion at the residence of her aunt.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Smith Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Alford was born in Marion, a daughter of the late Furman M. and Ethel Rogers Edwards.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Jerry Alford, USA, Fort Knox, Ky. and Don Alford, USMC, Jacksonville, N.C.; a sister, Mrs. Willie Marvin Lane of Marion; a brother, Harry R. Alford of Marion; and a grandson.
