MARION - Mrs. Clara M. Allen, 92, widow of Andrew Anson Allen, died Friday at a Marion hospital.
The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, at the graveside, in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Allen was born in Marlboro County, a daughter of the late John Levi Meggs and Mrs. Nancy Hayes Meggs. She lived in Marion most of her life and worked with the county treasurer's office for 38 years. She was a member of the order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Clara A. Carroll of Hampton; 2 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
