Bill Aaron, age 85, of Crestview, Fla., passed away on Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, at Silvercrest Manor. Bill was born in Owassa, Ala., on March 18, 1925, to William Travis and Sybil Dean Aaron. He moved to Crestview on Oct. 31, 1962. Bill worked for Gulf Life Insurance from 1959 to 1990, where he worked his way up from agent to District Manger. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and served his country in the United States Navy on the U.S.S. Shaw in the South Pacific during World War II. Bill was a loving husband, father, and loved his precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved fishing, gardening, cutting and watering the grass, and enjoyed going to Sears. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; a wife, Edna Earle Wheeler Aaron; four brothers; two sisters; a stepson, Dewayne Adams; and a great-grandson, Preston Medley.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Dolores Bass Aaron of Crestview; daughter, LaDonna Gayle Aaron Bowness Medley and husband Jesse of Crestview; stepson, Walter Adams and his wife Tammy of Holt, Fla.; stepdaughter, Sharon Adams of Crestview; grandchildren, Laresa Shay Bowness Forrest and her husband Lyle, Kyle Shayne Bowness; stepgrandchildren, Devin P. Adams, and Lindsey Adams Willis; great-grandchildren, Miranda Paige Lewis and Sydney Nicole Lewis; as well as many more stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
