ADAMS, Marjorie Mae DeGrow Marge was born June 12, 1931 in Bad Axe, MI, and died April 22, 2013, in Largo. She attended Pigeon High School and Central Michigan University and graduated from the University of Florida. She taught physical education and was a guidance counselor at Tarpon Springs High School for many years during which she earned two master's degrees from Columbia University. She finished her career as Chairman of the Guidance Department of Pinellas Vocational Technical Institute (PTEC). She enjoyed retirement with her late husband, Carl Bryant Adams Sr., as they traveled the country in their motor home remodeling one home at a time. Marge's passion was teaching and helping others. Her impact was felt by many. Her smiles, laughter and sense of humor were infectious. Her children are, Carolyn L. Pope of Englewood, Teri Johnson of Clearwater, (Jim) and Carl Adams Jr. of Flower Mound, TX. She leaves three brothers, Alvin DeGrow (Kay) of Leesburg, Douglas DeGrow (Katherine) of Dallas, TX, and Terry DeGrow (Gloria) of Seattle, WA. Marge leaves behind six beloved grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews along with many, many close friends. Visitation is Friday, April 26th, at 11 am, followed by the service at 12:30 pm, at the First United Methodist Church of Tarpon Springs, with interment at Sylvan Abbey in Clearwater.
