Marie K. Abbott, age 85 of Largo, Florida passed away Saturday morning, September 7, 2013 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida.
She was born September 8, 1927 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Andrew Thomas and Anna (Nichy) Thomas.
Marie was a County Property Tax Appraiser for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Clearwater.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Abbott in 1991.
Marie is survived by her son, William C. Abbott and his wife Carol of Mt. Airy, Maryland, one daughter, Phyllis McCormick and her husband Lowell of Seminole, Florida, four grandchildren, Stephanie Thomaidis, Dennis McCormick, Michelle McCormick, Mark McCormick, and three great grandchildren, McKenzie Thomaidis, Jaydon Thomaidis and Jonah McCormick.
A visitation will be held from 6-8pm Thursday evening, September 12, 2013 at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 693 S. Belcher Road in Clearwater, Florida.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Friday morning, September 13, 2013 at the Moss Funeral Home in Clearwater with Dr. Dennis E. Reid officiating. Burial will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater.
