CARON, DENNIS J. "COACH DENNIS," 62, of Clearwater, died Tuesday (March 7, 2006) at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater. He was born in Rochester, NY, and came here in 1966 from Somersworth, N.H.

He worked as an electrician for Instrument Transformers, Clearwater. He was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church, Clearwater. He was founder and athletic director for Clearwater for Youth, spent 25 years as founder and president with Pinellas Youth Football Council and coached Countryside Junior Cougars football.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Sandra "Sandie"; two sons, Robert and Daniel, both of Clearwater; two daughters, Denise Boulware and Cathy Abbarno, both of Clearwater; his mother, Bertha Caron, Clearwater; a brother, Richard, Lakeland; several nieces and nephews; and seven grandchildren.
