He was founder and athletic director for Clearwater for Youth, spent 25 years as founder and president with Pinellas Youth Football Council and coached Countryside Junior Cougars football.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Sandra "Sandie"; two sons, Robert and Daniel, both of Clearwater; two daughters, Denise Boulware and Cathy Abbarno, both of Clearwater; his mother, Bertha Caron, Clearwater; a brother, Richard, Lakeland; several nieces and nephews; and seven grandchildren.
