He worked as an agent for Blue Cross/Blue Shield. He was an Army veteran of World War II. His memberships included American Legion, VFW, Cheylan Lodge AF&AM, Beni Kadem Shrine and Scottish Rite, Charleston. Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances; and several nieces and nephews.
