ARMISTEAD, HOMER, 95, of Clearwater, died Tuesday (April 27, 1999) at Palm Garden of Clearwater nursing home. He was born in Smith County, Tenn., and came here in 1990 from Berea, Ky. He lived in St. Clair Shores, Mich., where he worked in the automobile industry until he moved in 1969 to Berea. He was Protestant and a member of the AFL-CIO.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Askew; two daughters, Jessica Dewolf, Clearwater, and Linda Armistead, Safety Harbor; a son, Peter, Winter Park; a half-brother, Leonard, Carthage, Tenn.; and two grandchildren, Julie Waxenberg, Safety Harbor, and Eric Dewolf, Clearwater.
