Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he came here in 1972 from Greenwich, Conn., and was self-employed in the heating and air conditioning industry. He served in the Coast Guard and was a Catholic. Survivors include three sons, Tom, Florida, Robert, Arizona, and Walter III, St. Petersburg; three daughters, Linda Murphy, Maryland, Beverly Boyne, Naples, Fla., and Cindy Cole, St. Petersburg; his mother, Rita Boyne, St. Petersburg; a brother, Patrick Boyne, Port St. Lucie; two sisters, Rita Van Buren, North Carolina, and Dorothy Stevenson, Las Vegas; and nine grandchildren. Lakeview Chapel Funeral Home/Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, Clearwater.
