OROVILLE [Butte Co.]—A funeral for Lowell William Alvord, 87, of Ogden [Weber Co.], Utah will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary in Ogden.
Alvord died Saturday, May 22, 1999, at an Oroville hospital.
He was born June 7, 1911, in Ogden, Utah, and served in the Army Air Corps and the U.S. Navy. He was stationed in Okinawa for a time.
Alvord was employed by the federal government as a supervisor in the Department of Defense Operations for 20 years.
He is survived by his children, Bob Alvord of Oroville and Irene Butler of Odgen, Utah; and 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Scheer Memorial Chapel in Oroville.
Burial will be at North Ogden Cemetery, North Ogden.
