Amos, Alice Irene (Forrester), 79, of New Martinsville, WV passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Acuity Specialty Hospital in Bellaire, OH.
She was the daughter of the late James and Alice Linda (Rice) Forrester.

She was retired from the New Martinsville Health Care Center and a member of the Steelton Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carol Amos; son, David Amos; sister, Pauline Livingston; stepmother, Mable Virginia (Medley) Forrester and half-sister, Judy Munoz.

Surviving are three daughters, Linda (David) Goddard of New Martinsville, Cathy (Eddie) Stewart of Weirton and Lois (Mike) Henthorn of Middlebourne; seven grandchildren, Kevin Wade, Brett (Carla) Wade both of New Martinsville, Shawn Miller of Milton, WV, Edward Dean (Heather) Stewart of New Cumberland, WV, Eric (Brandy) Stewart of Weirton, WV, Jason (Patty) Henthorn of Middlebourne, WV and Michael (Andrea) Henthorn of North Carolina; twelve great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; long time friends, Kenny and Deloris Sissler of New Martinsville, WV; three half-sisters, Sandy Reed of Monaca, PA, Janet (Nick) Monoz of East Liverpool, OH and Karen (Larry) Yard of Beaver, PA and half-brother, James (Debbie) Forrester of Lisbon, OH.

As per her request there will be no visitation. Private graveside services will be conducted by Ed Melott at Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville, WV at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made, in Alice's name, to the Steelton Church of Christ, 69 E Thistle Dr., New Martinsville, WV 26155.
