Anderson, D. Roxie, age 78, of State Route 7, Sardis, Ohio, formerly of New Martinsville, WV, died Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville.

She was born April 23, 1932 in Fairmont, WV, the daughter of the late John and Mary Walls West.

Roxie was a lifetime member of Rebecca Lodge and Amerath, New Martinsville, where she was Past Grand Royal Martian of WV; and a member of Big Run Christian Church in Cameron.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ister West and Bill West; and a sister, Esther Stoops. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Wilbert Anderson; a son, Fred (Teri) Anderson of Sardis; a brother, Oliver West of Moundsville, WV; a granddaughter, Monica (Tony) Lee of Fairbanks, Alaska; a grandson, Randy Cline of East Clairton, Ohio; and two great granddaughters, Carlie Lee and Tessa Cline.

Family will receive friends on Friday from 9am until time of funeral service at 11am at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third Street, New Martinsville, with Pastor Thomas Cox officiating. Interment in Greenlawn Memorial Park, New Martinsville.
