He was born on February 28, 1961 in New Martinsville.
Floyd was a millwright at Ormet Corporation; President of the Pine Grove/Shortline Lions Club; District Chairperson of District #29L Lions Club; and a member of the Church of Christ in Reader.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd M. Amos; paternal grandparents, Glen and Olive Amos; and his maternal grandparents, Wilbur Guy and Mary Nettie Dawson.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene Snider Amos; a son, Christopher Amos; a step-daughter, Liz (Carl) Hall; a sister, Patricia Tennant of Wellsburg, WV; a brother, Charles Amos of New Martinsville; his mother, Wilma Dawson Haught and step-father, Joshua B. Haught of Reader.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-9pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third Street, New Martinsville, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11am with Evangelist Jeff Tucker officiating.
Interment in Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville.
