Casimiro "Casey" Abaya, 85, of San Diego died yesterday. He was born in the Philippines and was a chef at Catherine Convalescent Hospital. He served in the Army during World War II.

Survivors include his daughters, Delia Lacuata, Carmen Abaya, Myrna Vasquez and Susie Bozzo; sons, Poly, Rudy and Casey Jr.; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation 4 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, El Camino Mortuary, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego. Mass 10 a.m. Thursday, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 13541 Stoney Creek Road, San Diego.
