William E. Abney, 86, of Port Townsend died following a long struggle with colon cancer.
He was born in Tyler, Texas, one of William and Laura Lizabeth (Thomas) Abney's seven children.
He married Ivodel Verna Canton in Yuma, Ariz., on June 7, 1946.
He is survived by his wife.
He was preceded in death by his siblings.
