Eileen Baranowski of Mahopac and formerly of New Canaan, Ct. passed away on September 18, 2016. She was 86. Born in The Bronx on November 27, 1929 to William P. and Matilda (Leskanic) Fowley. She married Edward T. Baranowski on May 10, 1952 and they were together 50 years when he died January 5, 2003. Both were active in their church, with special dedication to Right To Life. She is survived by her brother Donald Fowley (Jeanne) and her children - Mary Walsh (James), Eileen Smith (Donald), Thomas, Stephen (Elaine), John, and Edward (Catherine). As well as 11 grandchildren - Scott (Molly) Smith, Ryan(Megan) Smith, Colleen (Jonathan Dubroff) Walsh, James (Vanessa) Walsh, and Caitlin, Stephen, Alexandra, Jared, Michael, Lauren and Michael Baranowski. She is also survived by 10 Great grandchildren- Emeline, Maggie and Ryan Smith, Tucker, Sandy, Charlie and Harrison Smith, Sarah and Sam Walsh and Madeline Dubroff. In addition to her parents and husband, Eileen was pre deceased by her sister Dorothy Corbin, her son Michael Baranowski, her grandsons Christopher Baranowski and Matthew Walsh as well as by her Great grandchildren Casey and twins Brady and Mary Grace Smith. Eileen retired from MONY and she and Ed enjoyed their time between Wellfleet, Cape Cod and West Palm Beach, FL. We will always remember Eileen's beautiful singing voice in church choir. Viewing hours at Joseph Smith Funeral Home, Friday, September 23rd, 4PM-7PM. Mass Saturday, September 24th, 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, Mahopac, followed by burial at St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery, Brewster.
