On October 19, 2005 Mike passed into the care of our Lord, surrounded by his loving family, enjoying one of his favorite pastimes, watching a National League Baseball game.
Born August 1, 1933, in Los Angeles, CA, he had a distinguished service in the Military Police of the United States Air Force serving his Nation in Arizona and England. As a barber for many years he shared his love of baseball and extensive collection of memorabilia displayer in his Westchester shop. He followed his retirement from barbering with over 25 years of community volunteer work including Commanding an American Legion Post coaching Little League Baseball and encouraging and coaching young bowling talents. He contributed 25 hours a week assisting officers of the West Los Angeles Police Station and due to his attention to duty and commitment, in 2002 he was honored as a Specialist Reserve Officer of the Year recognizing him for his outstanding contributions to the Department. He is survived by his wife, Betty, daughter, ..., son, ..., and seven grandchildren. His quick wit and devotion to family and tradition will be forever remembered and cherished. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. October 26, 2005, at The Risen Christ Chapel at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City.
