Mr. Bloomer retired from E. I. DuPont after 37 years of service. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a Parkersburg High graduate of 1952. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching sporting events on TV.
Surviving are two brothers: Chester “Glenn” Bloomer (Gladys) and David Bloomer (Nancy) and a sister Evelyn Biddle (Steve), all of Washington. He also leaves behind 8 nieces and nephews, including a special niece Cathy Mays.
Funeral services will be Monday 1PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Reverend Thaddaeus Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery, New England Ridge.
