Constantino G. Aguilar was born to Macario and Antolina Aguilar on June 1st, 1937 in Churintzio, Michoacan, Mexico. He passed away peacefully after a long illness on August 2nd, 2009, in Merced at the age of 72.

Constantino spent most of his career working at canneries in Atwater and Turlock before retiring in 1999. Constantino was an avid gardener, loved to watch M.L.B. games, listen to mariachi music and frequent swap-meets. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and especially taking them on wagon rides around the neighborhood.

His proudest moments were having his children graduate from universities and becoming a U.S. citizen on December 2, 1994. It was then he knew he had realized the American dream.

Constantino is survived by his wife of 41 years, Maria Luisa, two daughters Ana Boyenga (Curtis), Brenda Reyna (Elias), and son Constantino Aguilar (Julianne). Grandchildren Hunter and Ella Boyenga, Charles, Tessa and Emma Aguilar and Jared and Jaylen Reyna.

Visitation will be held Friday August 7 from 4:00-5:30 at Wilson's Funeral Home in Atwater, followed by a rosary at 6:00 pm at St. Anthony's church in Atwater. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 8th at St. Anthony's Church.

A special thank you to Dr. De La Pena and the nursing staff on the 3rd floor of Mercy Medical Center. Your compassion and care was tremendous.
