Miss Ida M. Noble was born in Willow Springs, Lafayette County, Wisconsin, and there grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to Mr. Geo. W. Allen on Dec. 3, 1890, in Mineral Point. To them twin daughters were born (Lauressa and Grace) twenty years ago in Janesville, where they had located because of convenience to Mr. Allen in his work, he being an engineer for the C.M. & St. P. railway company, and there Mrs. Allen died on the 23d inst.
She leaves a husband and the two daughters mentioned to mourn an irreparable loss, also an aged father and two sisters, Mrs. C.H. Baxter and Mrs. F.L. Cork, and one brother, Walter B. Noble, all of this place. The father, Mr. George Noble, is 87 years old, and was living with his daughter, Mrs. Allen, at the time of her death.
Mrs. Allen joined the Christian church of Willow Springs at the age of 19 years and was a consistent member ever after. She was also an interested member of the W.C.T.U. of Janesville.
The funeral service was conducted by Rev. W.J.C. Bond at the home of her brother Walter in this city July 25.
Mr. Allen and daughters have many warm friends in Mineral Point who sincerely sympathize with them.
